KAZI RAHMAN is a New Brunswickan who is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He became a permanent resident of Canada in 2018 under New Brunswick Provincial Nomination Program. Kazi along with his wife Toma, two sons Mehfraz and Shehjaar, moved to Fredericton from Dhaka in 2019 and are active members of the community. He is a financial sector professional and a volunteer by heart. He has over 20 years of experience in retail banking, small business development and economic development project management. He was involved in lot of youth development programs in his student life and professional life. He has worked with Scotiabank, Investors group, CIBC etc. He has worked as consultant in a 22.2 million GBP UK aid funded project named “Business finance for the poor (BFP-B) in Bangladesh from 2015 to 2018. He has also worked as a Team leader in a financial inclusion project “Sarathi” Of Swisscontact funded by Metlife Foundation. This was a $1 million project focused on ensuring Financial Inclusion for Ready-made garment workers personal finance and savings. Kazi is an active member of Dialogue NB, Multicultural Association of Fredericton and Board of Directors Of Bangladeshi Canadian Association of New Brunswick. He and his family believe that New Brunswick is their new home, and they love it. He wants to work to make it even better places for all of us! His favorite leisure time is travelling and playing soccer with his kids. He really enjoys volunteering, public speaking and singing. You may find him hosting in any of the community cultural programs in the upcoming fall or summer.
